The Memorial Sloan Kettering – Hackensack Meridian Health Partnership (“The Partnership”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our Users’ data. The Partnership uses its best efforts to ensure that the information you submit to The Partnership’s website remains private, and is used only for the purposes as set forth herein.

Applicability of Policy
This privacy policy applies to all information collected from you or submitted by you on The Partnership’s website located at MSK-HMHPartnership.org (“the Site”). If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at info@MSK-HMHPartnership.org.

This privacy policy does not cover the information collected through the individual websites of the Partnership organizations i.e. Memorial Sloan Kettering (“MSK”) and Hackensack Meridian Health (“HMH”) when you visit each of those sites.

This privacy policy also does not cover the information that either of the Partnership organizations (i.e. Memorial Sloan Kettering or Hackensack Meridian Health) collect through other channels (including from the doctors at each organization) if you are a patient of either organization. Each organization’s use of any information it collects about you as a patient, and their use of patient medical records and patient health information are governed by that organization’s patient Notice of Privacy Practices which is available on each organization’s individual websites.

BY PROVIDING YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO THE PARTNERSHIP OR OTHERWISE USING THE SITE, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND OUR WEBSITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

The Information We Collect and Use
When we use the term “Personal Data” we mean information that we directly associate with a specific person, or that we can reasonably use to identify a specific person such as a name or email address. We collect and use information through your use of the Site in the following ways.

When a user registers for attendance at an event, such as a symposium, the information collected includes but is not limited to name, mailing address, and email address. We use this information to register you in the program and facilitate and administer the event. We may also use this information to contact you to respond to your requests or inquiries and provide support, or to contact you about The Partnership programs, products, or services that we believe may be of interest to you, including new Partnership service announcements or event invitations.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

We use certain technologies on the Site to collect information that does not directly reveal your identity (“Other Information”). The Partnership only uses Other Information anonymously and in aggregate (i.e., non-User specific) form. If we associate Other Information with Personal Data, we will treat the combined information as Personal Data in accordance with this privacy policy.

The technologies we use include the following:

  • Web Log File Data. Like most other websites, we collect some basic information automatically about you and store it in log files. This information may include IP address, browser type, internet service provider, pages you visit from and pages to go to after leaving the Site, date and time stamp, clickstream data, website traffic patterns and server usage statistics. We use this information for site management and administration, to improve the content, overall performance and user experience on the Site, for fraud protection and for protecting our rights.
  • Cookies and Other Data Collection Technologies. The Partnership and our service providers may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to manage the Site and to collect information about you when you use the Site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. The Partnership only shares or discloses Personal Data collected through the Site in the following ways:

  • Partnership Organizations and Affiliates. The Partnership may share information collected from this website with The Partnership organizations i.e. Memorial Sloan Kettering (“MSK”) and Hackensack Meridian Health (“HMH”) so that they too may understand how our users use this website and so that MSK and HMH may advise you of upcoming events, send a newsletter or otherwise communicate with you regarding MSK or HMH happenings. We also may share Personal Data with legal entities that are affiliated with us for purposes and uses that are consistent with this privacy policy and applicable law.
  • Third-Party Service Providers. We may engage vendors who perform services on our behalf, including helping us manage the Site, manage our communication channels and conduct analysis of your use of the Site. These Third Party- Service Providers may only use your Personal Data on our behalf. Our third-party service providers may include:
    • IT service and support providers, including those providers involved in hosting and monitoring the Site;
    • Analytics providers;
    • Marketing and advertising providers, including those providers involved in our newsletter emails and digital advertising campaigns;
    • Payment and e-commerce providers, including those providers facilitating the event pages;
    • Providers of tools, widgets or buttons on the Site, including those providers facilitating blog comments, sharing tools, forums and questionnaires; and
    • Learning management platform providers, including those providers involved in the provision of virtual education and continuing learning programming.
  • Legal Process, Safety and Terms Enforcement. We may disclose your Personal Data to legal or government regulatory authorities in response to a search warrant, subpoena, court order or other request for such information or to assist in investigations. Ad Partners and Your Choices
The Partnership supports the self-regulatory principles of the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”). We work with advertisers, advertising networks, advertising servers, and analytics companies (“Ad Partners”) that use different technologies to collect data about your use of the Site (such as pages visited or articles viewed or clicked on) in order to deliver relevant advertising.

These technologies may include cookies, web beacons and other data collection technologies on our Site placed by these Ad Partners to understand how our Site is being used, to analyze where users go and what they do after their leave our Site, to link various devices they may use, and to serve ads that are more relevant to the user. Please note that this privacy policy does not cover the practices of our Ad Partners. The Partnership does not have control over these third party technologies or the information contained in them.

Child Privacy
The Partnership intends use of this website for adults who are over the age of 18. The Partnership website does not specifically or intentionally collect information about children. If you are concerned about your child’s use of The Partnership website, you may use web filtering technology to supervise or limit access to The Partnership website.

General
This privacy policy is governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of New Jersey, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Jurisdiction for any claims arising under these Terms and Conditions shall lie exclusively with the state and federal courts within the State of New Jersey. If any provision of this privacy policy is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this privacy policy, which shall remain in full force and effect. The failure of The Partnership to enforce any term or condition of this privacy policy shall not be deemed a waiver thereof and shall not prevent its later enforcement.
